Projects - Commercial & Retail - The Coal Office, King’s Cross Central
Refurbishment and fit-out stages of the project
BCAL provided CDM Adviser services to Argent LLP for the refurbishment and fit-out stages of the project. The project consisted of the careful restoration of the canal-side Fish & Coal buildings, originally built in 1851. They originally housed clerks to monitor the flow of coal through the yard and, subsequently, the administration for the distribution of fish brought into London from King’s Cross. Now known as the Coal Office, the buildings have been fitted-out to an exemplary standard, and are home to the British designer and innovator, Tom Dixon.
