Attley Way is the latest addition to the infrastructure at Nene Park, home of Rushden and Diamonds F.C.

The new 190m long 7.3m wide adoptable access road provides safer access to the Diamonds Business Centre and was constructed by Weldon Plant Limited.

This short length of road was subject to a lengthy planning process due to the proximity of 2 large horse chestnut trees with preservation orders. Protection and tree surgery works were agreed and carried out prior to the main works starting. Small Owls were found to be nesting and the tree surgery works were delayed slightly until the baby owls had fledged.

210m of off-site drains were constructed to facilitate surface water drainage for the Diamonds Business Centre and for future development land.

BCAL fulfilled the roles of highway engineer and quantity surveyor on the project.
